Merry Christmas!

Christmas is almost here!  My puppies have been very good, and have not played with the ornaments like this little pup!  This is a combination of two digi stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle - both digis - Holly Ornament (including the ornament and the bow on the pup's tail) and Buddy the Christmas pup.  Hoep you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Pretty Pink Penguins

Finally finished this card last night, started it weeks ago, but life has been busy, including a trip to Kentucky, as well as the normal work, and Christmas preparations etc.  I do have a lot of images colored, and hope to get a few more cards up in the next week.    I love how the complementary colors set off the pink, and I used some velvet glitter on the bow, using a new technique my friend Marie created.

Snow Time

Well its not snow time here, not yet!  But here is the Snow Family with Sign ( a digi stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle) wishing you a happy christmas!  Enjoyed using some glitter techniques, one was the bling your brads with velvet glitter  on the snowflake - used our new silver Reflection velvet glitter , and accenting with glitter by covering the narrow tearific tape with Gypsy Red velvet glitter.  It all makes for a sparkly card!

Snow Family

A week ago I was able to spend the whole weekend stamping with friends at a scrapbook store near where I used to live.  It was a lot of fun!  I made this card, using a digi stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Snow Family with Sign- digi 098, which was created by artist Michelle Perkett.  The dimensional glue on the snowflakes along with the Cloud Nine velvet glitter makes them look like little snowballs! This card puts me in the holiday spirit!

Sparkle N Sprinkle's Winter Wonderland Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Wonderland blog hop!  This hop runs for four days, Nov. 15 - 18, which will give you time to go to all of our designers' blogs and see their wonderful creations!  If you came here from Karalee's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you may want to go back to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog and start at the beginning.
'Tis the season for some great blog hop prizes, so enjoy all the Winter Wonderland creations, and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for one of the great prizes.  Enjoy!!
It was hard to decide which penguin stamp from this set to use since they were all so cute so I used three of them. Here is my creation - I used Playful Pengies stamp set 438 and created an ornament for the tree!  I have a tree that I decorate each year entirely with stamped ornaments, and this makes a great addition to it!

The hats are embellished with Cherry Sparkle Sparkle N Soft, and Shamrock Glitter on the big hat.  Snowflake brads connect the pengies, using the "Bling Your Brads" technique I used Silver Detail embossing powder and Reflection Velvet Glitter, to make them really sparkle!  The Velvet Glitter is superfine and super pretty!  Complete directions are available at this link in the gallery.  Don't forget to leave a comment, and then go to Keri's blog and see the next creation!

November sketch challenge card

Here is my November Sparkle N Sprinkle's sketch challenge card.  It uses one of the brand new sets, Abby and Walter's Birthday Set 476, and the gorgeous Cloud Nine velvet glitter, GM 2000.  I ran the tag through the xyron, then covered it with glitter, and stamped the word Celebrate on top of the glitter.  It adds a beautfiul sparkly touch to the birthday card!
Enjoy all the design team's cards for the challenge, and hope you enter a card too!  You have until November 30 to send your card.

Something new!

There are three new stamp sets just out at Sparkle N Sprinkle, and the design team has been busy making lots of beautiful new sample cards which are now up at the Sparkle N Sprinkle website.  First, a lovely autumn set, love the sayings that go with it too.  Stamp Set 474 Fall Harvest

Then a very pretty Christmas set, and the elegant sayings make it easy to complete your Christmas cards.  This set is just asking to be used with the new velvet glitters!  Stamp set 475 Holiday Foliage

The third set is a birthday set, you can never have too many birthday sets!  Stamp set 476 Abby & Walter's Birthday
This set has several nice images as well as lots of words to go with!  Here is a birthday gift card holder I made with this set. Isn't the new Reflection velvet glitter a festive touch!  Complete directions for this card are at the Sparkle N Sprinkle website in the gallery.

sparkly tree...

This weekend I was working on a couple of cards.  I used the Swirly Maple stamp from the Sparkle N Sprinkle (SNS) set Autumn Swirl SS 410, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Tangelo.  I wa susing one of those stamping gear sets where you can make a shape in a circle, so used the Leaf Swirl stamp to stamp in a circle around the tree.  Dabbed some Versamark ink on the tree and added SNS Sparkle embossing powder EP 107 to make the tree sparkly - the photo doesn't show the sparkly but it is real pretty in person.  Added a leaf from the Fall Leaves SS 4413 set and then punched a border strip and threaded a striped ribon through it.  Almost gives a plaid look, since the paper was striped also.

Autumn Blessings...

Here is another card made with the Sparkle N Sprinkle set Fall Leaves 441S.  It was made very similiarly to the card I posted Sept. 30, however the blue paper really pops the colors, and I used a different saying from the same stamp set.  The little acorns add a nice touch!

Autumn has arrived...

The air is finally starting to feel a little cool which means autumn has come to the Carolinas.
I made this card using Sparkle N Sprinkle's set  "Fall Leaves - 441S".  I sprayed inks on white cardstock, when it was dry I then stamped the leaves with black Memento ink.  I also added a little glimmer inks spray, and Paprika (orange) flocking FL 105, for highlights on the leaves.  After cutting out the leaves, I used Spellbinder Petite Scallop Circle Large and Standard Circle large to make a "wreath form" out of brown cardstock.  Wrap a ribbon around the form, and attach to base paper.  Layered the leaves on top.  Cut out the verse and slightly larger green cardstock with Labels 4 and Labels 4 Small dies.  Added 3 decorative brads to the top right corner.  The shimmer and leaf colors look more intense in person, but the leaves are so lifelike, they were fun to play with!

Cake!

Here is a Sparkle n Sprinkle digi image from Michelle Perkett, "Bella the Baker".  Here is a scrapbook page I made using just the cake and words from the digi:

And here is a card I also made with the digital image:

and also used the cake on the inside of the card:

Hope you can see the glitter on all these projects, they are nice and sparkly in person!

My new cabinet for the craft room...

This is my new yellow Hemnes linen cabinet! And you thought Ikea quit making them in yellow.   Well actually they did.  I bought a red cabinet and painted it yellow.  It is so pretty.  Actually I think my yellow is nicer than the yellow one they made at Ikea a few years ago.  Time to fill it up with fabric and sewing items...

Apron card

Made this little apron card last night, shaped cards are always fun.  Don't you love the saying?  The stamp is from Sparkle n Sprinkle, they have a lovely wine themed set.  This kind of makes me feel like cooking!

Happy Cupcake Day

This was done using a stamp set from Sparkle n Sprinkle.   They have some really nice stamps.   This card has a scallop cut out of the yellow, then it is lined with the brown where the scallop is added in the opening.  Added a little chevron paper to bring a summery birthday look!

Here is the inside.  You can see how the yellow front is a little smaller so the brown border can be seen from the front.

Christmas in July

Less than five months to Christmas!  Here is a holiday organizer I made with a folder - like the ones that are on sale for back to school.  Good time to pick up a few at a great price!

Here is the inside - the left two sides, with room to keep track of holiday recipes, and gifts to make.

Here is the right side - there is a calendar and a post it note pad.  You can customize this to fit your own needs.  Fun to make and fun to use!

Jenny

I found this picture of our english setter Jenny.  She was the sweetest girl and sure did enjoy hunting in the yard, especially butterflies!  Caught a couple of bees also, and once a rabbit!  Jenny was such a people-dog!  She had mast cell tumors and sadly left us last November.  We have missed her so much.  We later got two pups, and they are growing so fast, I've been trying to get some pictures of all their silliness!
